Black celebs from Jennifer Hudson to Mariah Carey to Rihanna herself have been out and about looking so fresh and so clean wearing white from head to toe. Most recently Jurnee Smollett made a splash in her snow white Valentino gown which set the blogs abuzz.
If you're looking to make a splash as you step out on the town, then rocking white is the way to go. It's effortlessly elegant, and far more unexpected than the usual basic black.
When looking to accessorize almost any color will work, but you'll notice that two of these fly divas chose silver to accent their white ensembles.
Tip:
As a rule of thumb I tend to avoid white shoes. The often look juvenile, like the good Easter shoes you wore when you were little, and tacky plus no one wants their feet to look like two big tic tacs. Instead opt for a metallic shoe . They're classier, and much more versatile. If you're going for a more classic look, try diamond (or diamonique) jewels. Personally I think a simple strand of pearls paired with a white suit could be fierce.
But don't be afraid to experiment with color. Try a jewel-toned pump or tank for a look that's fun and fab, or add some flair to your basic ensemble with a couple of chunky bangles (metallic or brightly colored).
